Upon launch, the new Bajaj Pulsar will compete against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-16 and Honda CB Hornet 160. Given that is one of the most popular styles of motorcycles that have been launched by Bajaj, the NS160 could appear to be a popular choice for probable 160cc motorcycle buyers. Especially, since it will be available at a much more competetive price tag as compared to its 200cc cousin. The power output of the new NS 160 is expected to be around 15.5 PS and a torque output of 14.6 Nm and will come mated to a five-speed gearbox.

Interestingly, though, the engine of the NS 160 will get oil-cooling, making it the smallest production engine to be made by Bajaj having this feature.
